At 22 years old, Harry Kerr - a drifter from County Antrim, Northern Ireland has grown up surrounded by motorsport. From a young age, racing culture was always present in his life. His father competed in drifting when Harry was still a baby, while his grandfather was heavily involved in motorcycle racing as a mechanic and close associate of legendary road racer Joey Dunlop. With engines and racing stories always around him, it was only a matter of time before Harry found his own path into motorsport.

Behind the wheel, he competes in a purpose-built BMW E46 fitted with an F22 M2 style body kit. The car is powered by a Dart-block Toyota 2JZ engine built by DBM Performance and paired with a G Force dog box transmission and Winters quick change differential. With Wisefab suspension front and rear, a Nuke Performance fuel system, STRÖM wheels and EBC brakes, the car is built to compete at the highest level. While the final numbers are still being dialled in, the setup is expected to produce somewhere around 900 horsepower.

For Kerr, the drivetrain is easily the standout feature of the car. Having a world-class engine built by DBM Performance paired with a dog box transmission was always something he dreamed of, and now it is a reality every time he lines up on the start line.

Beyond the track, we love to look into the personal lives of these stars!

What is your favourite track or circuit to drive and why?

One venue that stands out is Watergrasshill Raceway. The narrow karting circuit features a blind downhill first corner that demands total commitment, making it the perfect place for big backwards entries and exciting battles.

What hobbies do you have outside of racing?

Drifting takes up the majority of Kerr's time, energy, and resources, meaning there is not always much room for other hobbies. Recently though, he has started getting into fishing and golf. While he admits he is not particularly good at either yet, both offer a great way to unwind and clear his head away from the intensity of racing.

Any driving tips you would give to someone starting out in motorsport?

Rather than focusing on driving technique, Kerr believes mindset is what matters most. If you have a dream, chase it. Growing up, he never imagined he would be competing internationally, but with persistence and determination he has already reached milestones he once thought were impossible.

Dream street car?

For a dream street machine, Kerr would choose the BMW M3 Touring. In a perfect world it would be painted Maserati Blue, the same colour as his previous drift car that he drove between 2015 and 2019.
